Bed platform in place!

and it even supports my weight... used 2X4's and 4X4's and 3/4 inch plywood. it sits 4' over the floor of the truck, with the motorcycle beneath it. have it hinged in the center so that I can lift the rear portion of it and allow me to get on the bike to remove it from the truck, or to load it. looks like it's gonna work well :)

thats the advantage of a box truck, I do have to much room! in a way it's a curse because I'm filling it with junk I could probably do without, but does help me avoid the trauma of having to get rid of everything right away. But.. since I have space.. I have room for 2 ladders. ones a step ladder that I will use for inside, the other is a collapsible ladder I can use to get up on the roof for when I'm ready for you to teach me to put in vents -grin-

Think considering the idea of a marine ladder, something that could be bolted to the platform might be a good idea.. if it dropped straight down and didn't interfere with the walkway at all and was always in place, you wouldn't have to keep the step ladder up and blocking in any way.
